Our November 3 hour untutored life drawing session will offer a rare opportunity to draw an expecting mother! Yana will be 8 months pregnant when we have our session, so this is indeed something special, so close to her due date.  Without her gorgeous bump, Yana is a wonderful model, with tremendous core strength and, as a trained dancer, offering truly beautiful poses, so this promises to be a joyful and rewarding afternoon.

The village hall has parking outside, and we include easels, boards, paper, materials, refreshments and peaceful background music to make the afternoon as relaxing and mindful as possible.

Great session, I really enjoyed it. 
Could you have an optional sharing session at the end? I know not everyone would want to share, but some might. Personally I feel I can get a lot out of looking at other people's work. It wouldn't have to be a big intimidating 'show and tell' - perhaps just five minutes at the end where those who want to can wander round and look at other people's work?

I really enjoyed the challenge and meeting people. Our model was wonderful too!  My only complaint was that there was no easel for me.  Had I not been told that there would be one for me I would have bought my own.  Otherwise all good, but tiring! Not used to drawing!

Everything was perfect except for one thing!!
Marvellous model, excellent venue,generous supply of materials,equipment and tea,biscuits  and the lovely quiet of concentration etc BUT  I would so prefer to concentrate in silence without the music!!! It was nice and quiet admittedly but certainly not my sort of music - I prefer classical , but that is the point really. You can’t possibly please everybody , so is silence possible please ?

We take you through an artistic process that helps to take your life drawings to a new level 

Sessions start at 11 am and run until 1 pm.  All materials are supplied

This was the best way to  begin drawing practice in the New Year for me.  Great tutoring, venue and model.  A well organised and a useful, pleasurable session.

Wonderfully wise tutoring by Mike who really understands live-drawing, this group has a great atmosphere with input from other students as well as first class model and lovely light in a welcoming room.

I'm new to charcoals and life drawing, but wanted to take on the challenge of faces, limbs, hands and feet.  My first session was brilliant.  The first hour was spent on exercises, eg lighting sketches, then drawing with your non dominant hand, then drawing without letting the charcoal leave the paper.  Then the second hour was spent on a long portrait.  Paper and materials are all provided.  If free on a Saturday this will be my go to place.  

Another lovely session this saturday morning spent drawing in Jericho with wise and helpful tutor, Mike and excellent model in good studion space.
