Spring is in the air,  and what better time to draw our lovely model Jess,  when she joins us on the 29th March

We'll spend 3 blissful hours drawing and socialising in the lovely village of Ducklington. Paper, media, boards and easels on a first come first served basis are all included in the early bird price of £17  We also include refreshments, great lighting and gentle music to help you reach that perfect mindful state.  

Please note the early bird price runs out on 22nd March, thereafter it will cost £20 to attend, so book your place in good time to avoid the higher price!

I have attended several life drawings sessions arranged by Peter.  All have been excellent, with experienced models who have a most interesting range of poses - how they manage to hold them for as long as 45 minutes in the second half of the afternoon I shall never know.  Some of my fellow artists produce excellent work in pencil, charcoal, watercolour, and pastel.  I am highly envious because I couldn't be more disappointed in my ability, or lack of it!  However, each session has been most enjoyable, welcoming, friendly, and sufficiently warm to relax whilst trying to capture the pose.  I would certainly recommend coming to join us - sadly no Ducklington April session as it will be Easter but I most sincerely look forward to my next Sunday afternoon visit.

Life Drawing Sundays - Ducklington 

Bi-weekly, 2-hour life drawing sessions with occasional tuition, professional male and female models, easels and all materials supplied.

During the untutored sessions your host will explain the pose sequence and timings, and offer tips to help improve your general art skills!

Every 4th to 5th session our guest tutor introduces a number of guided exercises to help all skill levels improve their technique and develop their own style of life drawing. There is no right or wrong way in this class and no judgement.

Working from a nude model, these exercises are suitable for beginners, to give them a basic system that will produce great results, and for experienced life drawers to remind them of some of the essential elements of successful life drawing.

Every session ends with a 40 – 45 minute pose that allows the artists to apply what has been learnt.

Ruby, aka Ruby Magic is an internationally renowned life, photo and sculpture model, based in New York. She’s worked with many of the world’s best artists, including Sculptor and Instructor at The Florence Academy of Art, Eirik Arnesen.  

She’s making one of her rare visits to the UK and I’m delighted to say she’ll join us in Stanton St John for 3 hours of inspiring art!

The £17 early bird rate will end on Sunday evening 8th March when the price will go up to £20, so book early to avoid disappointment and to save money!
